Nesting!

  Build nested search strings for biographical documents at Teoma and Google.  Use the "intext:" command at Google to remove words from your results (i.e. sample or posting or jobs).

Recruiting Innovation Summit - Facebook 2011

Today I attended the Recruiting Innovation Summit from Facebook.  Amazing event organized by ERE.NET

 

The presentation that resonate with me: Old School/New School Sourcing Strategies that produce results by Jennifer Hasche – Intuit see this link for video

 

Key points that caught my attention:

 

• ·         Having a Central document storage attached to the requisition, so they can leverage their competitive intelligence & research over and over. SMART!!

 

• ·         Intuit use Bit.ly

They combine job descriptions, video, diversity information, product information and they broadcast in twitter, email campaigns, facebook.

Indeed Resume

I wanted to share something I read on March 3rd on the Indeed blog , now you can upload your resume to a free indeed account and you can share it with the world; from a sourcer perspective this is GOLD.

I've asked my technical candidates and couple of them have created their public profile there…the word is not yet out, but imagine when goes mainstream…

Indeed Resume is still in early beta. They are limiting features- that is why we don’t get any results when doing Boolean searches. I will try in a month.
